Frequently asked questions

Where should I begin?

Create an account, complete onboarding, and open a devotional from your home screen or library. Start with a passage, write a reflection, and choose a prayer or practical next step.

Do I need an account to read Scripture?

You can explore the public Bible book, chapter, and topic pages without signing in. Create an account for the member Bible reader, Lexicon, reading plans, journal, prayers, and saved study tools.

Can I compare Bible translations?

Yes. The member Bible reader includes a Parallel Bible view for comparing the same passage in two selected translations. Available versions depend on the selected language and text provider.

What can I search in the Lexicon?

Search by Strong’s number, an original-language word, transliteration, or English meaning. Filter Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek entries, then open a result to inspect its definition, KJV renderings, derivation, and sourced usage where available. Syriac is currently unavailable.

Where do the Lexicon definitions come from?

Definitions come from the Open Scriptures Strong’s Hebrew and Greek dictionaries, with source attribution and revision information. Dictionary definitions and KJV renderings are labeled separately. Sourced passage usage and grammatical information are shown where available; a dictionary entry alone does not determine a word’s meaning in every verse.

Does the Lexicon use AI?

The tool offers an optional, separately labeled AI-assisted paraphrase of a dictionary entry. It is not a lexical authority or an interpretation of your verse. Always compare it with the original sourced definition and passage context.

Can I follow or create a reading plan?

Open My Plan to view available active plans or choose Build Custom Plan to create your own. The plan reader helps you follow the daily readings and track your progress.

How do I save reflections and study notes?

Use Journal to create and edit reflections, prayers, Scripture entries, testimonies, and notes. The Lexicon also has a study notebook. Bible highlights and bookmarks help you return to passages you want to revisit.

Can I keep track of prayer requests?

Yes. Add a prayer request, choose a category, and view active, answered, or archived requests. Mark a request as answered when you want to record that update.

Can I listen instead of reading?

Devotionals show a Listen option when an audio recording is attached. The Parallel Bible includes text-to-speech controls; available voices depend on your browser and device. Audio availability varies by content.

Can I change the language or appearance?

Open Settings to choose an interface language, adjust font size and theme, and manage notification preferences. The current interface languages are English, French, Spanish, and Yoruba. Bible translation choices are separate from the language of authored devotional content.

Will it work on my phone, tablet, or laptop?

Yes. Use the app in your web browser on a phone, tablet, or laptop. Sign in to the same account to access saved account content. An internet connection is needed for sign-in, new content, and saving or syncing changes.

What should I know about privacy?

Personal study tools and community sharing are separate parts of the app. Content you post in a community is shared with that community’s audience. Review the Privacy Policy for details about personal information and account data.
